Agapios Tompoulis
Biographical Note
Born in Istanbul around 1885. After the Asia Minor Catastrophe he settled in Athens, when he died in 1965. He was an oud virtuoso and a composer.
He collaborated with Simon Karas at the radio show 'Ellinikoi Andilaloi' (Greek Echoes).
As a soloist and a composer of rebetika songs, he collaborated with all the classic voices of the Rebetiko and left behind a large discography.
