(1903-1997). Nikolaos Emm. Karageorgiou was born in Makri, Asia Minor, and settled in Xylokeriza (Nea Makri) of Attica following the Asia Minor Catastrophe. He was well versed in the folk tradition and a chanter. He worked systematically on recording the songs of his homeland.

Domna Samiou collaborated with him for the collection of songs from Makri and Levissi, and showcased him with his team on her radio program at the Second Programme of Hellenic Radio, "Apo pantou tis ellinikis gis" ["From every corner of Greek land"] (04.12.1982). The Domna Samiou Archive contains tapes with the songs he collected, which he gave her himself, perhaps in 1983.
