Πέντε μήνες γκιζερούσα
μες στο γκιουλ μπαξέ, δυο μου μάτια, μες στο γκιουλ μπαξέ.
Για να βρω καλή γυναίκα
για να παντρευτώ, δυο μου μάτια, για να παντρευτώ.
Βρίσκω κόρη που κοιμούνταν στα τριαντάφυλλα
έσκυψα να τη φιλήσω, δεν μου μίλησε
ξανασκύφτω, ο καημένος, χαμογέλασε.
– Πού ήσουν, ξένε μ’, το χειμώνα όπου κρύωνα
κι ήρθες τώρα καλοκαίρι που ζεσταίνομαι.
