Η Πούλια εβασίλεψε
Η Πούλια εβασίλεψε κι ο Αυγερινός εφάνη
και το παιδί μου στο σχολειό κι ακόμα δεν εφάνη.
Το φεγγαράκι του ’φεγγε κι η Πούλια του μιλούσε
κι ο Αυγερινός ο λαμπερός μου το παρηγορούσε.
Ο δάσκαλος το μάλωνε με μια ψιλή βεργίτσα,
τα γράμματα τα φόρτωνε στου κόκορα τ’ν ουρίτσα.
Αφέντης του το μάλωνε, βάλε μυαλό βρε Γιάννη,
γιατί σαράντα κόκοροι μας κάνουν ένα Γιάννη.
