Λαλού- βάι, λαλούδι1 της Μονομπασιάς,
λαλούδι της Μονομπασιάς και κάστρο της Αθήνας
και κάστρο της Αθήνας.
Και Παλαμήδι τ’ Αναπλιού άνοιξε να ’μπω μέσα.
Να δω τις Αναπλιώτισες, τις Αναπλιωτοπούλες,
πώς πλένουν, πώς λευκαίνουνε, πώς μοσχοσαπουνάνε.
Με το ’να χέρι πλένουνε, με τ’ άλλο σαπουνάνε,
και με τα δυο τα χέρια τους στο κάστρο πολεμάνε.
