The Domna Samiou Greek Folk Music Association is a non-profit organization, that Domna Samiou founded in 1981, with the support of admirers of her work and Greek traditional music enthusiasts; the principles contained in the Association’s Statute provide for the preservation of Greek traditional music, the publication of records as a result of thorough research, and the organization of concerts of high quality standards, contrary to the requirements of the music majors in the market.
Domna Samiou chaired the Association till her death, in March 2012.
As of today, Yulie Papatheodorou serves as the Chairperson of the Board which consists of 7 Members as follows: Anastasia Batinaki, Dimitris Dimopoulos, Daphne Djaferis, Yannis C. Lyras, Soctates Sinopoulos, Miranda Terzopoulou and Chrysanthi Zafeiropoulou.
Mania Seferiades is awarded the title of Honorary President of the Association.
